The acclaimed J Jazz compilation series from BBE Music will be released in early 2026 with its fifth and final volume. The selection of tracks builds on the excellent quality of the first volume from 2018. This latest edition presents a diverse selection of tracks reflecting the richness and diversity of the Japanese jazz scene from the late 1960s to the late 1980s - a golden age of innovation and creativity. Most of the tracks in this collection are first releases, many previously only available on private pressings or extremely limited and rare independent releases. J Jazz Volume 5 is a worthy conclusion to a compilation series that has helped to create a new audience and appreciation for Japanese jazz.
